Levee Loop Trail Race
& Fitness Walk Fundraiser

Trail lovers unite! Support Stroud Area trails while enjoying one of our favorites.

Join us on a 4.5 (~7k) Mile timed Trail Race, or a 2.6 Mile Fitness Walk along the Levee Loop Trail! Trail race medals will be awarded to first place finishers in each age bracket. All funds raised directly support local trails projects!

The Levee Loop Trail Run is mostly even ground, but does have uneven terrain between Creekview Park and Stokes Mill Park. We recommend walking this stretch of the trail to see the more difficult terrain. Walkers will be on even gravel or grass paths.

Pocono Cinema and the Friends of SROSRC are bringing the movies outdoors! Bring your own blanket or chair, and settle in to a movie night with the family, friends, or your date! Spend the evening with your little girl(s) dancing and making memories. There will be dancing, photos and snacks provided. Registration required. There will be no registration the day of the event! Please register under the father’s name-- one daughter will automatically be admitted with the father’s registration.

Our interpretive walks provide company, conversation, and nature knowledge. Relax, get some fresh air, and enjoy the views of the season!

1st Wednesday: Yetter Park

198-184 Wilson Ave,

East Stroudsburg, PA

All first Wednesdays of the month will meet at Yetter Park and loop north around Brodhead Creek Park for a total walking distance of 2.2 miles. Points of interest: man-made waterfall, forest. This is a flat, gravel trail.


2nd Wednesday: Yetter Park

198-184 Wilson Ave,

East Stroudsburg, PA

All second Wednesdays of the month will meet at Yetter Park and loop 1.5 miles south around East Stroudburg High School for a total walking distance of 1.5 miles. Points of interest: creekside, forest. This is a flat, gravel trail.

3rd Wednesday: Forevergreen
1539 Cherry Lane Rd,

East Stroudsburg, PA

All third Wednesdays of the month will meet at Forevergreen Nature Preserve and walk an outer and inner loop for a total walking distance of 1.5 miles. Points of interest: forest, meadow. This is a mostly flat trail with some hills. The trail is part gravel, part grass. In wet conditions, there may be mud.

4th Wednesday

Levee Loop Trailhead

97 Day St,

East Stroudsburg, PA

All fourth Wednesdays of the month, we will meet at the Levee Loop Trailhead in Dansbury Park and loop North to East Stroudsburg High School athletic fields (2 mile loop.) Points of interest: Creekside, Open sunny views. This is a mostly flat grass/ gravel/ paved trail with a short skinny section that has some elevation change.

5th Wednesday (if applicable): 

Glen Park

152 Collins St,

Stroudsburg, PA

If there is a fifth Wednesdays of the month, we will meet at Glen Park on Collins Street for an out-and-back trail—a total walking distance of 1.5 miles. Points of interest: creekside, forest. This gravel trail has some small changes in elevation, roots, rocks, and mud.

Please Pre-register, as space is limited, and we will not prepare for the walk if no one is registered. As per CDC guidelines, this activity is outdoors, and therefore masking is optional for vaccinated or socially distanced individuals.

Dog trainer David J. Henon of University of Pets will give a FREE training session! Bring your dog to go over basic commands and how it can help solve many behavior issues. Learn about the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen and how it can help you get discounts on your homeowners policy and how your dog can become a therapy dog.

Refreshing, easy on the limbs, and great cardio! AscenDANCE’s Aqua Zumba gets in the pool for an aerobic workout set to music. It’s irresistibly fun fitness!

 

Session fee admits one person for a one hour pool Zumba session, and the fifteen minutes before and after. The fee does not include any extra free time in the pool, which can be purchased separately as a day pass or season pass.

Youth Infusion, Trips for Kids Pocono Flow believes every kid in every community deserves the right to know the joy of riding a bike while enjoying the freedom to explore the natural world on two wheels! They'll be tackling a section of the the Levee Loop Trail this June-- a grass and gravel introduction to trail riding.

July 2, 2022: Columcille Megalith Park 

2155 Fox Gap Rd.

Bangor, PA

A contemplative and relaxed walk through mesmerizing rock structures and forest. About 0.5 miles. A few cardio-demanding hills, and some rocks and roots in some trails, but otherwise a fairly flat walk. Estimated time 45 minutes. Lots of points of interest along this short hike! This private land is open to the public on a donation basis. Please consider donating to the park if you attend. Parking for the area is along Quaker Plain Road, right after it turns off of Fox Gap Road.

Meets at Creekview Park

 

Archery is a precise and strengthening skill, in addition to being just plain fun! Learn, practice and perfect your aim with us! We'll set up our range on Tuesday evenings for four consecutive weeks. All ages over 8 welcome! Sign up the whole family for a bonding experience! Compound bows and arrows will be supplied. Personal bows and arrows are not permitted for safety.

Refund Policies:
 

Public Program Refund Policy

All refunds for a public program must be requested at least 12 hours before the start of the program and will be evaluated for approval. Refunds will be processed within 30 days of approved request, and will be in check form (no cash refunds permitted.) In the event a participant is suspended or dismissed from the program due to disorderly conduct or a breach of the liability agreement, a refund will not be issued. A service charge may be assessed on all refund requests. A full refund will be issued if the Commission cancels a program.
