Our interpretive walks provide company, conversation, and nature knowledge. Relax, get some fresh air, and enjoy the views of the season!

The Daddy & Daughter Dance is postponed. We will announce when we are able to reschedule. (Currently SASD is limiting visitors to the school buildings with plans to reevaluate in approximately 30 days; our reschedule will depend on the decision of the school district.) Anyone unable to attend will be able to receive a full refund.

Dads, enjoy this time with your daughter(s) during an evening made just for you both! There will be light refreshments, dancing and a photo booth to commemorate the occasion!

Yoga with Gee

Only $10 per class!

Learn to connect movement with breath, integrating mind, body and soul! We have three types of sessions: Gentle, Family and All Level Yoga. Limited mats for loan. Please bring your own if you can.

Gentle Yoga: All Sundays except the first of the month. 11:00am-12:00pm. Perfect for beginners, seniors, and those who like relaxing and restoring yoga.

Family Yoga: Tuesdays 6:30pm-7:30pm. For parents and their children to learn and have fun together! (Ages 8 and up.)

All Level Yoga: Thursdays 6:30pm-7:30pm. For individuals who like just a little challenge with their yoga.

Refresh your Instagram or TikTok! Nature photography is an opportunity for families and their teens or preteens to bond over the aesthetics and adventures hidden within our parks using phone photography. We’ll play with scenery, portraits, angles, lighting and more! Bring your own phone with a camera, digital camera, etc.

Relieve stress and develop a positive mindset? Believe it or not, it’s a walk in the park! Learn about the latest science behind mindfulness and how the outdoors affects our psyche during a rejuvenating summer walk.

A 2.6 mile walk or 4.5 mile run, to be held rain or shine. At the finish line, we’ll have prizes, a raffle, and festivities for families, walkers, runners and the general public!

You and your 2-4 year old will discover all sorts of treasures with guided games, crafts, and adventures outdoors. Take home ideas for games you can play together, and a sense of curiosity about our local wild world! Families are asked to stay and enjoy the adventure with their child.

Like an escape room, but outside! Enjoy the 2020’s playfully by following clues around downtown East Stroudsburg to find out which local business is actually a speakeasy. 20’s themed outfits welcome! Wear walking shoes! One drink and light refreshments included in ticket price. This activity is geared toward teens and adults. Those under 21 are welcome, but will be served a non-alcoholic beverage as their drink.

When: June 19th, 5:30pm to about 7:00pm; Meets at Miller Park’s Garden.

Will your family survive? Of course! But which families will thrive at survival? This series will present you with a new survival challenge each week. You’ll go home with some survival goodies, knowledge and some quite unique memories! Wear a hat, and clothes & shoes that can get muddy & wet!

We’re wading into our local streams and getting our hands dirty! In the water, we’ll find out who lives under the currents, why they’re there, what they’re telling us, and how to catch them! This program is in partnership with Brodhead Watershed Association. Families are asked to stay and enjoy the fun with their child. For safety, please note that each session has a different age limit depending on the stream that we're visiting.

Tents, food, fun and family! Activities will range from nature games and stream play to a nighttime owl prowl! We include dinner, breakfast and a tent site in a unique environment, not usually open for overnight stays! Make sure to bring extra pajamas, ‘cause this party might get muddy!

Archery is a precise and strengthening skill, in addition to being just plain fun! Learn, practice and perfect your aim with us! We'll set up our range on Thursday evenings for five consecutive weeks. Compound bows and arrows will be supplied. The use of personal bows and arrows will be prohibited for safety reasons.

We’re celebrating the 150th Anniversary of East Stroudsburg with a bike parade and bandstand in Dansbury Park! Decorate your bike and ride through the park, grab some food and watch the music, or both! Bikes must be able to ride on grass; decorations must be family friendly.

 

September 12th, Bands start at ___, Bike Parade at 11am.

This October, we’ll introduce you to some spooky yet loveable creatures up close! Learn who they are, why they’re important, and how skilled they are! Wizard and witch dress is welcome for this adventure. In partnership with Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.

October 3rd, 7:00pm-8:00pm at Day Street Community Center.

Meets at Day Street Community Center. Curriculum involves learning martial arts techniques: blocks, strikes, kicks, forms, sparring, rolling and falling, weapons and breathing exercises.

Dog Trainer David J. Henon of University of Pets is offering the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen exam for free! This is the beginning of a Therapy Dog’s journey. Learn how it can help you get discounts on your homeowners’ policy. If your dog passes all 10 items, your dog will officially be eligible for a Canine Good Citizen certificate! (The AKC does charge a $10 processing fee online for the certificate; this is not required for participation in testing.)

The Eastern Monroe Public Library's Bookmobile . This program will be chance for children to interact with each other, hear exciting stories, and visit the Bookmobile before or after story time!!
