Training & Classes Ages 6 - Adult
American Red Cross Training All American Red Cross Classes are taught by a Certified American Red Cross Instructor, and are held at the Day Street Community Center.
First Aid Training Dates: Monday, May 11 Register by May 11 Time: 6-9 pm Fee: $30 (includes certification, skill cards, and participant manual) Learn the basics of first aid including how to recognize an emergency, splinting, and how to care for shock.
Infant/Child CPR Training Dates: Monday, May 18 Register by May 8 Time: 6:00 - 9:00 pm Fee: $30 (includes certification, skill cards, and participant manual) A great class for parents and child care workers! Learn Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, how to care for choking victims, and rescue breathing techniques.
Adult CPR/AED Training Dates: Monday, May 25 Register by May 15 Time: 5:00 - 9:00 pm Fee: $35 (includes certification, skill cards, and participant manual) Learn CPR and Automated External Defibrillator skills for taking care of adults in emergencies, as well as how to care for cardiac emergencies and choking.
Karate Classes Times: 6:00 – 7:00 pm (Ages 6-12) 7:00 – 8:00 pm (Ages 6-12) 8:00 -9:00 pm (Ages 13 – adult) Session 1: April 7 – June 9 Register by March 27 Session 2: June 23 – August 25 Register by June 12 Session 3: September 8 – November 10 Register by August 28 Fee: $65 includes uniform (price subject to change) Location: Day Street Community Center Develop self-discipline, self-confidence, and leadership skills while learning to defend yourself and having a great time. Certified instructors from Paskiet Martial Arts Academy and Golden Rule Karate & Fitness, LLC teach age-appropriate Isshin Ryu karate for both children and adults.
Golf Basics Golf Basics is taught by PGA Professional Deron Erney. Formerly the Head Instructor of a Golf Magazine Top 25 Golf School, Deron specializes in teaching golf to juniors and adults. Before relocating to the Poconos as Head Professional at Snydersville Golf Range, he was employed as a Pro at golf courses in Florida, South Carolina, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Subject to minimum enrollment of 5 students, maximum of 12 students.

The program utilizes the SNAG Coaching System, a unique patented system that moves parent-child groups through four stations during one-hour sessions. Positive reinforcement and fun activities, along with developmentally appropriate equipment make this program a hit! Parents are required to attend and participate with their children.
Trinity Life Fitness Classes Trinity Life Fitness classes are taught by Nikki Sajudin, a certified Navy Seal and Five Star Fitness Boot Camp instructor. Nikki has been instructing fitness classes for over 23 years in the NYC area and has held over 15 National Certifications. Since 1995, Nikki has been conducting national certifications and workshops and holds the title of Master Trainer/Teacher for the International Sports Conditioning Association were she is a continuing education provider for ACE, AFAA, and the AEA. Nikki is a former member of the World Body Building Federation fitness team and has been a featured fitness expert on www.plusoneactive.com for six years.
After Burn Fit Camp
Time: 10:00 am – 11:00 am Fee: $70 Location: Day Street Community Center Are you ready for a fitness adventure like no other? Nikki's After Burn Fit Camp is designed for participants who are looking for full fitness services. After Burn Fit Camp is RESULTS driven, and no matter what your fitness level you are going to come out changed for the better, forever! The classes consist of cardiovascular intervals and basic military style training. In addition, all participants will receive FULL Fitness Evaluations (Before and After), Weekly Newsletters, Lecture and Seminar Series, Online Nutrition Diary, and Life Changing Results. Massage Classes with Tori Foreman Tori Foreman graduated from the Natural Health Institute in Nashville, Tennessee and became a licensed massage therapist in 2005. She now owns and operates Feel Kneeded Massage Therapy on Ann Street in Stroudsburg. Couples Relaxation Massage Session 2: Mondays, May 4 – 25 Register by April 24 Times: 6:00 – 8:00 pm Fee: $80/person or $140 per couple Location: Day Street Community Center This hands-on class teaches relaxing Swedish massage techniques to use on friends and family. Massage lotion and aromatherapy will be provided. Gift certificates for this class are available. Please bring a pillow, set of twin sheets, and a blanket. Class size is limited!
Therapeutic Massage Technique Dates: Tuesday, June 2 Register one week in advance Wednesday September 2 Times: 6:00 – 8:00 pm Fee: $20/person Location: Day Street Community Center This hands-on class teaches massage techniques to relieve everyday aches and tensions. Classes address conditions that students are currently experiencing. If you have problems with headaches, tight shoulders, carpal tunnel, or back pain you can find techniques for at-home relief. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a pillow and yoga may or blanket to lay on.
ABCs of Cycling Dates: Saturdays, May 9, 23, 30 Register by May 1 Times: 9:00 – 11:00 am Fee: $25 Location: Dansbury Park Learn to be a more confident bicycle rider! This course covers types of bicycles, equipment, basic maintenance, safety and basic riding skills. Instructor Bill Stavey is a certified League of American Bicyclists cycling instructor. The class is open to children and adults, age 12 and older.
