Start Smart Youth SoccerStart Smart prepares children ages 4-7 for organized soccer in a FUN, non-threatening environment. The set of skills taught include dribbling, kicking and passing, trapping and throw-ins, and agility. Exercises become more difficult as the class progresses and children show improvement. Parents are required to attend and participate with their children. Classes are held outside: please dress appropriately for weather conditions. Start Smart Youth GolfStart Smart Golf is a developmentally appropriate introductory golf program for children 5-7 years old. It is a parent participation program for young children who have never played golf. Start Smart Golf teaches parents how to teach their child golf using fun, developmentally age appropriate equipment from SNAG® that can be used almost anywhere. Start Smart Golf prepares children for traditional golf without the threat of competition or the fear of failure. Creative Finger FoodsAll little kids love to play with their foods—now they have a reason! Participants will make critters and designs with healthy foods that they can enjoy during class as well as take home. Foods may contain peanut products: please make the Staff aware of all food allergies! Story Time with the Monroe Public Library BookmobileChildren and their parents are invited to this peaceful, magical time involving a fun story and a simple related craft. Further encourage the love of reading by visiting the Bookmobile afterwards to borrow books to enjoy at home! Little Tots Open GymDo your little ones have some energy to work off? Bring them to the Day Street Community Center for a fun time of independent play including bouncing around in a moon-bounce, playing with balls, scooters, a parachute, or any of a number of other fun, simple equipment during our Little Tots Open Gym! This time is supervised by a responsible adult, however, parents are also required to remain to supervise their children. |
