Stroud Region Open Space and Recreation Commission is happy to announce a new partnership with the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society to offer discounted amusement park, zoo, aquarium, ski resort, and other local attraction tickets!
Available now, tickets are on sale at the Day Street Community Center in East Stroudsburg from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday - Friday to the following local ski resorts: Big Boulder/Jack Frost, Blue Mountain, Camelback, Shawnee, and Sno Mountain. Cash sales only, all sales are final.

You don't have have a green thumb to appreciate the stunning displays of flowers and plants at the annual Philadelphia Flower Show held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center! This year's theme, "Islands of Aloha," transports you to the refreshing landscapes of Hawaii with tropical blooms and spectacular displays honoring the culture of the islands. This is the perfect escape from northeast Pennsylvania's cold winter. Lunch is on your own at the Convention Center or at any of the nearby local eateries including the popular Reading Terminal Market.

Join us for the Fourth Annual Glow Egg Hunt at Dansbury Park. This hugely popular outdoor adventure in the dark throws a new twist on an old favorite! Children and teens hunt within the boundaries of Dansbury Park for special glow-in-the dark Easter Eggs for fantastic prizes. Searches are divided into different age categories throughout the park; children under age 5 must be accompanied by an adult. Additions to this year’s event include a visit from the East Bunny and eggs-traordinary arts and crafts! Register early, space is limited!

Enjoy a leisurely 7 mile trip down the Delaware River with Pack-n-Paddle Tours. Bring lunch, a camera, swimwear, and let the fun begin! The fee includes canoe, lifejacket, paddle, transportation to and from the river, and a safety orientation. Paddle trip takes place rain or shine.

Gather your family and friends, blankets and lawn chairs, and join us for an entertaining evening at Dansbury Park viewing the exciting The Smurfs! Quintessential “movie food” (popcorn, candy, and beverages) is available for sale to sweeten the experience. All participant who pre-register are automatically entered into a raffle drawing for a DVD of the movie! Movie is subject to change; cancelled in inclement weather. Register one week in advance.

If the heat is just too much for your canine companion, cool them off at one of the Stroud Region's pools at our first ever Pooch Plunge! The pool will close to humans and it becomes "canine time" to hit the water. There will be games for dogs and owners' amusement. A portion of the proceeds go to local animal rescue groups.

The 4.5 mile trail run and walk on the levee leads through water, sand, grass, trees and several parks. Prizes are awarded to the top two men and women finishers in each age division. A fun walk of the Levee Loop will begin before the race, so bring the whole family! Shirts are available to the first 100 registered participants!
