Levee Loop Trail Signage. Look for new directional signs on the Levee Loop Trail! With an attractive logo stylized after the levee's striking scenery itself, a series of signposts are going in the ground to mark the various turns on the four-and-a-half mile loop. Designed by Hospitality Alliances, and produced by Stroud Sign Company, the sturdy aluminum markers now point the way through leafy suburban pathways, wooded streamsides, and scenic natural vistas!

Dansbury Trailhead Grand Opening! Join us for a Grand Opening and Dedication ceremony of the new Dansbury Trailhead before our Family Games Challenge on National Public Lands Day, Saturday, September 25. Funded by a $100,000 grant from the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and matched with cash and in-kind services by East Stroudsburg Borough and Stroud Township, the construction of the Trailhead expanded the width of the levee in the northwest corner of Dansbury Park for a scenic overlook of the Brodhead Creek. A stairway, ADA-compliant ramps, informational kiosk, benches, bike racks, water fountain, and a small parking area complete the amenities. The Grand Opening ceremony at 11 am also includes the dedication of trees planted in honor of those individuals and organizations who helped transform the former East Stroudsburg Police Station into the Day Street Community Center.

New, upgraded website. We are pleased to direct your visit to our newly upgraded and expanded website at srosrc.org. Redesigned by Susan Amirian Bonser of ESU's Nonprofit Technologies Group, the site now features drop-down menus for our main headings, as well as completely new pages for Greenway, Advocacy, Media, and Community links. You can also find us on Facebook (search for SROSRC) and Twitter (twitter.com/srosrc) to stay connected for the latest updates!

ESSA/McMichael Trail & Trailhead  When ESSA Bank & Trust built its new headquarters on Palmer Street in Stroudsburg a few years ago, it agreed to a public trail easement along its property boundary, held by Stroudsburg Borough. Now, with a grant from ESSA Foundation, a trailhead will be established at the Bank's parking lot near the historic  "Hanging Rock" (the site of public executions back in the 19th Century!), with a mulched trail leading to bank of the McMichael Creek near its confluence with the Pocono Creek.  We thank ESSA Bank & Trust for its civic mindedness and commitment toward public walking trails, and the ESSA Foundation for its generous contribution to make it a reality!
