To learn about how these animals are adapted to their homes, we will animate insects, mimic mammals and “brooksnoop” for hidden water life. Each Roving Ranger receives an official Nature Safari Certificate of Appreciation.

We are eye witnesses to a Forest Under Construction, Underwater Breathing, and Mineral Cookies in Process.  We investigate migration maneuvers, habitat hideouts and creature features. Junior Naturalists receive a Certificate of Outdoor Investigations for their dedicated work.

Would you like the flitting, colorful wings of a butterfly, or the speedy strength and lift of a dragonfly? How about the

drifting stillness of a parachute? Join us in the study of flight as we learn about the many incredible, adaptable aviators of Nature: soaring hawks, hovering hummingbirds, darting insects, floating seeds and even flying fish, through investigative experiments, songs, games, crafts and hikes. We’ll learn to call in birds by “pishing,” make fish that fly, discover the hidden life of a dragonfly before its first voyage skyward, and other secrets of the airborne. Fly!
